Hi, i am
Carina Seliger

- Founder of the femCycle app. Since my first period, I've struggled with menstrual symptoms and received little medical support – even when I was diagnosed with endometriosis 14 years later.

However, since I didn't want to choose between treatment with the pill and all its side effects or a lifetime of discomfort, I completed further training in holistic women's health. With this knowledge I was finally able to independently reduce my symptoms and dramatically improve my quality of life.

With the femCycle app, I now want to help other sufferers and give them the medical support they deserve!

Our mission:
To fight the gender health gap

1.9 billion people worldwide menstruate (BMZ, 2022), of whom 80 percent (= 1.52 billion) struggle with period and cycle-related symptoms (Women's Health Concern, 2022). Gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, or PMDD are often the underlying causes (Giudice, 2010), but these are insufficiently researched, so diagnoses often take years (Pharma Facts, 2023), and those affected receive inadequate medical treatment. In addition, doctors lack the time and the necessary reimbursement from health insurance companies for detailed medical history interviews and treatments (Plan International, 2022). With the femCycle app, we are now developing a medical support service to help those affected.

Easy access to medical support

Easy access to medical support

The femCyle app will be available through app stores. Those affected do not require a medical diagnosis or approval from health insurance companies to access the app. This will eliminate discriminatory barriers and offer those affected the opportunity to benefit from medical support regardless of their medical care.

Broad coverage of complaints and diseases

The app will not only address period pain, but also other menstrual symptoms such as mood swings, lethargy, fatigue, headaches, and back pain. It will also provide support for gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, and PMDD.

The app content will be tailored to the symptoms of those affected and will be based on multimodal treatment approaches – including nutrition, exercise, and relaxation. The app will not only provide information but also support direct implementation to help patients reduce symptoms independently.

Shorten diagnosis times & improve treatments

Through continuous symptom tracking, femCycle aims to identify patterns and correlations that are crucial for diagnosing gynecological conditions. Patients can share their data during medical examinations, enabling a more precise medical history and potentially improving treatment.
